Four Seasons Pest Control
Pests can ruin our homes, health, and happiness. These pests come in many different varieties and they come at different times of the year. That’s why Mug-A-Bug has developed plans to protect your home for all four seasons.
By using our pest protection programs, you get a pest shield to protect your home all year and we are able to stop pests before they invade your home! We will visit your home (according to your service plan) throughout the year, and we will inspect and perform treatment as needed to key pest entry points, so that pest control is an everyday occurrence at your home…no matter what season it is.
Spring
Spring weather may bring rain showers and flowers, but this is the beginning of the pest season. Over-wintering insects are now trying to establish residency for nesting areas, and are foraging for food sources. Our focus will primarily be the perimeter treatment around your home to prevent the possible invasion of spring insects including but not limited to: ants, wasps, hornets, spiders, centipedes, millipedes, crickets, flies, clover mites, earwigs, and stinging insects.
Summer
Summer is the height of the season with the most aggressive pest activity. Extended periods of drought and warm weather will affect food supplies forcing pests and rodents indoors for food and water. The extreme heat will break down our products faster and their effectiveness, so you may begin to experience more invasions. We will continue to focus on the exterior perimeter around your home to prevent summer time pests from establishing foraging behavior and development of nesting sites inside your home. As pests try to re-establish foraging and nesting patterns, don’t worry, our summer service will interrupt this cycle. Ants and Spiders will be prominent during this time of year.
Fall
Spiders and mice, along with many other occasional invaders that overwinter will begin to move indoors as temperatures drop and cooler weather approaches. These pests like to use wall voids, basements, garages, and attics as their winter retreats. Our fall treatments will help protect your family and home from unwanted guests looking for a free ride in a warm home. This is a great time to be sure to close and seal garage doors and crawl spaces properly to help keep rodents out. Shelter from the winter is the dominant theme with insects and rodents this time of the year. We will bait for rodents, as needed, as well as check for points of possible rodent entry.
Winter
Warm indoors attracts pests into your living spaces. Cold weather conditions will drive crawling insects and rodents inside. Pests can also be brought inside on plants, seasonal furniture, firewood, and many other outdoor items. The winter visit is probably the most important visit that we make to your home. Winter is the time that we begin to eradicate the pests that have now come inside, and prepare for the springs pests that will be active come springtime. Spiders, occasional invaders, and mice can be very active this time of year in basements and garages. We will inspect of your home to identify potential problems that may occur later in the year. We follow up our inspection with suggestions and recommendations to prevent pest entry, and reduce conditions that are conducive to pest infestations for the spring season. We will also check and replace any baits and rodent stations as necessary to maintain rodent control throughout the winter season.

Maintenance Packages
Pest Control
Monthly
starting at
This service is primarily for commercial accounts (restaurants, coffee shops, donut shops, etc.) that require a monthly maintenance. Some residential customers will go monthly based on their tolerance threshold, or they are from the South and they are just used to a monthly service frequency.
Bi-Monthly
starting at
This is primarily for residential customers and the most common service package that we recommend to our residential customers. The reason that we prefer the bi-monthly service is because the products that we use typically have a residual effect that lasts between 45-60 days and that the customer will be due for their next regularly scheduled treatment normally within the next 1-2 weeks.
Quarterly
starting at
This is for customer’s who do not mind seeing the occasional spider or ant and have a higher tolerance threshold. Since these customers are serviced every 90 days, there is roughly a 30-day period where they will not have any “active” product or residual at their home since the products used have become less effective or worn-off.
