QualityPro Designation
Mug-A-Bug Pest Control is proud to be one of a few pest control companies nationwide to earn the QualityPro designation, the seal of excellence in pest management. QualityPro is an industry program, exclusive to NPMA (National Pest Management Association) members, that sets Mug-A-Bug apart from the competition and especially illustrates our expertise in the industry.
Consumers are often unsure how to choose a pest management professional. By bearing the QualityPro seal of approval, Mug-A-Bug will make it easier for the apprehensive consumer to select a pest management company that goes above and beyond in training their technicians to ensure not only a job well done, but the overall safety of the consumer’s home, family and pets. In order for our company to use the QualityPro trademark, we must abide by strict guidelines regarding pre-employment screenings as well as the ongoing training process of our employees. All technicians and inspectors must pass a state administered exam or QualityPro exam before they set foot in your home.
So what does the QualityPro seal of approval really mean to the average consumer? When asked to imagine that such a national organization as NPMA would offer something similar to a “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” for their members, new consumers reported that such a seal would be helpful in their search for a quality pest management company. Common responses were that “the seal would tell them that the company knows what it was doing”, that “it would mean the company is more qualified and had to meet additional requirements” and that “the company cares enough about doing a good job that they will go the extra mile.”
As an member of the QualityPro program, we will provide you, the consumer, with a higher level of quality service than the competition.
QualityPro is administered by the Foundation for Professional Pest Management, an independent organization that develops good business practices and standards. Designed specifically for pest management companies in the US and Canada, this certification is offered to companies that are currently members of the National Pest Management Association. Created in 2004, we are proud to represent over 450 of the best companies in the pest management industry.
Business Operations
The QualityPro certification standards are set by the Board of Directors with the help of experts in each field of qualification. Based on four pillars, the standards relate to how companies do business in the field of Business Operations, Environmental Stewardship, Consumer Relations and Employee Education.
In an effort to ensure that QualityPro companies have access to the latest information and uphold the integrity of the program, these standards are continually monitored and enhanced as needed.
Environmental Stewardship
QualityPro companies are committed to environmental stewardship when performing services at accounts. Through the use of integrated pest management we can feel confident that QualityPro companies are taking steps to identify and correct the root of the problem.
Consumer Protection
QualityPro companies strive to perform the best services to their clients. Through a series of standards that relate to consumer relations, we ensure that customers are getting the best experience when they hire a QualityPro company.
Employee Testing and Training
QualityPro wants to ensure that employees of certified companies are provided with education that will instill the knowledge and understanding necessary to provide a professional pest management service. QualityPro has therefore made available comprehensive training materials and a corresponding exam for sales and service technicians.
In addition to pest biology and control, this exam also educates individuals on consumer relations elements, safety and professionalism. Upon the successful completion of this exam, each employee will be provided with a personalized certificate and score sheet.
Business Recognition
QualityPro has been recognized by a number of organizations throughout the United States and Canada who understand the importance of hiring a member with this unique designation. From bid specifications and contracts to recommendations on how to hire a pest management professional, we are pleased to be seeing QualityPro become a prominent specification for work in commercial accounts.
EPA Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP)
QualityPro and GreenPro members are recognized by the US Environmental Protections Agency’s (EPA), Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program. This program allows member companies to partner with EPA by submitting a strategy to the department and following reporting guidelines. Reserved only for those companies that ascribe to the highest principals, the Gold Standard given by PESP allows companies to use limited marketing claims and win awards and recognition by the department for their commitment to integrated pest management techniques. Those companies that are PESP partners and QualityPro and GreenPro certified will be accepted at the gold level.

Maintenance Packages
Pest Control
Monthly
starting at
This service is primarily for commercial accounts (restaurants, coffee shops, donut shops, etc.) that require a monthly maintenance. Some residential customers will go monthly based on their tolerance threshold, or they are from the South and they are just used to a monthly service frequency.
Bi-Monthly
starting at
This is primarily for residential customers and the most common service package that we recommend to our residential customers. The reason that we prefer the bi-monthly service is because the products that we use typically have a residual effect that lasts between 45-60 days and that the customer will be due for their next regularly scheduled treatment normally within the next 1-2 weeks.
Quarterly
starting at
This is for customer’s who do not mind seeing the occasional spider or ant and have a higher tolerance threshold. Since these customers are serviced every 90 days, there is roughly a 30-day period where they will not have any “active” product or residual at their home since the products used have become less effective or worn-off.
